Tools

Problem

Knowledge workers especially remote teams and neurodivergent individuals face a daily planning grind that feels fragmented and taxing.

  • Fragmented tools: Tasks, notes, and calendars live in separate apps, forcing constant context-switching.

  • Typing fatigue: Capturing every idea or reminder by keyboard adds friction and slows momentum.

  • Cognitive overload: Mixed work, personal, and maintenance tasks create an overwhelming, unprioritized backlog.

  • Infrequent chores forgotten: Battery swaps, warranty renewals, and service check-ups slip through the cracks.

  • Misaligned energy levels: Traditional planners ignore the user’s real-time focus or mental bandwidth, leading to missed goals.

Key Design Solutions

  • Voice-First Capture
One-tap mic records natural speech and instantly converts it into structured tasks, eliminating typing fatigue.

  • Layered Planning Views

    • Weekly Priorities for big-picture goals

    • Today’s To-Dos for actionable work and personal items

    • Break-Time Tasks for quick wellness or admin chores
Users see only what matters in the moment, reducing cognitive load.

  • Smart Tag System
Pre-made role, energy, and maintenance tags (e.g., “High Focus,” “QA,” “Battery Check”) auto-organize tasks so no one starts from a blank slate.

  • AI-Driven Scheduling
The assistant balances workload against calendar availability and real-time energy cues, then suggests optimal times or auto-reschedules when capacity is low.

  • Lifecycle Logger
Voice-log infrequent but critical events device charging cycles, vehicle services, subscription renewals—and attach receipts or warranties for easy recall.

  • Accessibility-First UI
Dyslexia-friendly fonts, low stimulus color themes, adjustable text/spacing, and optional eye-tracking or keyboard navigation keep the experience inclusive.

  • Unified Timeline
Tasks and calendar events appear on one scrollable timeline, giving users a single, coherent view of their day.

Outcome

Vordo replaces fragmented, typing-heavy planning with a single voice-first AI hub:

  • Talk, Don’t Type: A one-tap mic turns spoken thoughts into structured tasks, tags, and calendar blocks zero friction.

  • See What Matters: Layered views Weekly Priorities, Today’s To-Dos, Break-Time tasks surface the right context at the right moment, easing cognitive load.

  • Smartly Organized: Pre-built role, energy, and maintenance tags auto-sort everything from product-roadmap items to “battery replacement” reminders.

  • Adaptive Scheduling: AI balances workload against real time availability and energy cues, nudging tasks or auto-rescheduling when life changes.

  • Lifecycle Logging: Infrequent but critical events (device charges, vehicle services, warranty renewals) are voice-logged with receipt uploads, so nothing slips through the cracks.

  • Inclusive by Design: Dyslexia-friendly fonts, low-stimulus themes, and multimodal input make planning calm, accessible, and genuinely human.
