Exodus Redesign
Exodus Wallet is a well-designed app with a strong foundation. While the overall experience is smooth, I identified key areas where UX improvements could enhance usability, accessibility, and interaction flow. My redesign focuses on improving core wallet actions, navigation, and interaction consistency while maintaining the brand’s identity.

Problem
Although the wallet experience is intuitive, I noticed some inconsistencies in interaction patterns, navigation accessibility, and UI scalability:
• Wallet-first functionality confusion: The Receive and Buy options were only available at the start but became harder to access once funds were added.
• Balance visualization: The pie chart representation of portfolio distribution felt slightly awkward in its stroke design.
• Search accessibility: The search button was positioned out of easy thumb reach, making it less user-friendly.
• Nav bar behavior: The floating nav bar had a delay in reappearing after scrolling, making primary actions slightly inconvenient.
• Swap page interactions: The swap screen felt generic and lacked unique, engaging interactions.

Redesign Goals for home screen
Ensure a seamless wallet-first experience – Core actions (Receive, Buy, Send) should always be accessible.
Improve search accessibility – Place the search function in easily reachable locations.
Enhance token view experience – Give users more control over how they view their balance and holdings.
Refine navigation behavior – Ensure the floating nav bar reappears automatically after scrolling stops.

Key Design Solutions
What I Created:
Home Screen Enhancements
Wallet-First Interaction Refinement
I restructured the wallet interactions to ensure users can receive and buy funds at any time, rather than only at the start. This creates a more intuitive, always-accessible experience.
Improved Search Accessibility
To enhance one-handed usability, I introduced two search access points:
• A search icon in the nav bar, placed closer to the thumb.
• A search bar above the token list, reducing effort while browsing tokens.
Token View & Portfolio Balance Controls
I introduced two balance visibility modes to provide users with greater control over financial visibility:
• Balance Shown – Users can view their current holdings directly in the token list.
• Balance Hidden – Only token prices and percentage changes are displayed, keeping holdings private.
Navigation Bar Refinement
Improved usability: The floating nav bar now reappears automatically when scrolling stops, reducing friction.
Modernized visuals: I softened the brand colors in the nav bar for a more polished, subtle look while preserving the Exodus identity.

Design Goals for Swap Screen
Differentiate the swap experience – Move beyond conventional designs found in other wallets.
Make swap interactions more intuitive – Introduce gesture-based swapping for smoother user flow.
Improve usability for new crypto users – Add a Token-to-USD rate converter to enhance swap clarity.

Swap Screen Enhancements
Reimagined Swap Experience
The current swap page felt standard compared to other wallets. I redesigned it with a more engaging, user-centric approach while maintaining all necessary functionalities.
Token-to-USD Rate Converter
New crypto users often struggle to grasp swap values. I added a Token-to-USD rate converter to provide instant value clarity during swaps.
Gesture-Based Swap Interactions
I introduced swap interactions for a smoother, more interactive experience:
• Slide to Swap – A seamless, one-handed swipe interaction.
Outcome
The redesign prioritizes user efficiency, accessibility, and intuitive interactions, ensuring that core wallet functionalities are always within reach. By refining navigation, search accessibility, and swap interactions, the experience feels more seamless, scalable, and user-friendly.
